Greetings From the President

Greetings, everybody!  It’s the start of our next season and  I have to start out by saying we are a little under staffed this year but we’re doing the best we can to keep the fun going.  We’ve got some off season events coming up in the near future and we hope to see everyone out.  For those of you interested in saving a few bucks this winter Night Club Card registration is in full swing!  We’re also in the midst of putting together some trips but since we’re down a trip coordinator we’re going to change some things up a bit, more on that to follow. President’s Message

Greetings Everyone!  If the cold temps and the occasional snow showers are any indication of what type of winter we will experience, we think it’s going to be a great one! When was the last time that all of the local resorts have opened on time the day after Thanksgiving?  We know that our Night Club Cards are not active until the New Year (2014), but we hope that each of you take some time to go pick up your Night Club Card and use your Advantage Card to score an awesome discount on some pre-season lift tickets!  If you haven’t signed up for the Night Club Card it’s not too late, just read our blurb below and ask us how!  We’ve also got a number of trips planned this year, something for everyone.  If you see something you’re interested in let us know, we’re flexible and want everyone to have the opportunity to spend part of the winter with us.  Just don’t wait too long, spots go pretty quickly and the longer you wait the chances are some prices could increase, but we do our best to keep them as low as possible for our members.  Did we mention we cook you breakfast and dinner?! We know, AWESOME!  For those of you who are not able to get away this winter, we are scheduling some meet ups for the local resorts.   For those interested all of our events are posted on our website, facebook, and meetup.com.  If you would like to coordinate a meetup we encourage everyone to join our meetup.com page and suggest an event or even trip. In order to keep up with the times we have made several changes in our initiative to help encourage more members to join and to give back to those that support us, because without our members this club would cease to exist. As always we will offer free tune your ride sessions throughout the season. Last year we rolled out T-shirts for all of those that attend our trips, we will continue to do the same this year.  We will be giving away lift tickets to some lucky members throughout the season at our meetups for you or a friend, and we’re working on some sponsorship and donations for an upcoming raffle that we promise will bring on a lot of cheer.  We would like to officially welcome everyone to a new season, some fresh snow, and lots of fun this winter!

From our Family to Yours, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Chesapeake Ski & Board Club!

We make our trips as simple as possible for participants. You can expect between 7 and 14 other people, and trip costs are divided amongst the participants. Our price estimates are usually very accurate, but if we overestimate we will refund the difference. Signing up early is key – the later you join, the more likely flight costs will go up which are the #1 thing blows apart the estimates.

Pricing includes airfare, lodging, lift tickets, breakfast, and dinner. You will be responsible for your own gear and lunch. We do our best to get quality lodging – usually a house or condo – near or on the slopes.

Breckenridge, Colorado

Saturday, January 11 – Wednesday, January 15 (3.5 ski days)
Cost: $1,300 ($500 Deposit due Monday, December 16)

For those interested in this trip, it was previously scheduled for January 16 through January 20. It was moved to accommodate a deal on lodging and to address concerns about crowding over the originally holiday weekend.

Whether you’re hungry for adventure, or just want to enjoy some R&R, Breckenridge provides an unforgettable winter experience. If you want to try Rocky Mountain Riding for the first time, this trip is for you!

Our lodging for this trip will not disappoint – we will be staying in a condo on the slopes bracketed by Snowflake lift and 4 O’clock Run. The location is truly ski in – ski out.
