September Tracks

Greetings From the President

Greetings, everybody!  It’s the start of our next season and we’re gearing up to get everything prepared to motivate you for all of the excitement this winter.  We’ve got some off season events coming up in the near future and we hope to see everyone out.  For those of you interested in saving a few bucks this winter, we are scheduled to start Night Club Card registration next month, you’ll hear more about that later.  We’re also in the midst of putting together some great trips on and off the snow this year.

I’d like to welcome back all of our board members, for another great year. We have a solid group of individuals that have committed their time to helping us achieve our goals and to grow.  As you all notice, we are starting this season with a new fresh look on our website, I’d like to thank Kevin for working with us effortlessly to help us maintain and grow our presence.

I would also like to thank each and everyone of you. Our members are what keep this club running, and without the continued support we wouldn’t be able to keep up each season after next.  I hope that we are able to continue to get to know each and every one of you, provide you with great trip opportunities and create moments that encourage you to stick around for years to come.

Welcome to the 2013-2014 season… I hope you’re looking forward to it as much as we are!

Go Ape

Beach Season might be coming to an end, but it doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.  Chesapeake Ski & Board Club is planning on taking to the trees!  We’re looking to get a group of individuals together to climb some trees, do some rope swings, and some crazy zip lines from various heights.  If you’re looking for adventure that is safe and fun for all skill levels, you’ll want to give this a try!   Please reach out to us by email if you are interested in participating in this event. The more people that show interest, the better rates we can get.  We’re currently looking at Saturday October 5th, 2013.  If you’re interested please let us know prior to Friday, September 20th, you will be included in the planning process as soon as you confirm your interest.  Hope to see you in the trees!

For more details see the event page in our calendar here.

New Website!

As Kimmie mentioned, we’ve got a new website. We are hoping that, beyond the face lift, the site will be easier for you to use. The biggest change (as you can probably tell) is how we are delivering Tracks to you. We are now doing it in a browser friendly format that you no longer need yet another application to read. We hope that this device agnostic approach will make our newsletters more useful to you. You can also find all of our social media (the facebook, the twitter, and the meetup) up at the top right above the search bar.

If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to contact us and let us know!
